Wednesday night I learned a lesson on parenting. Not some deep spiritual lesson. Nope, just a plan common sense lesson...
On our way to church Wednesday evening, Angelina told us she had to go to the bathroom. Since we were not in the best of neighborhoods at the time, I asked Angelina if she could wait till we got to church. Well, even though she said she could make it, she didn't. As Brett was unbuckling her from her car seat, he "noticed" she soaked through everything. This wouldn't have been so bad, except for the fact that brilliant me thought I didn't need any more extra clothes for Angelina anymore. After all, she hasn't had an accident in over 3 months! Why should I keep extra undies and a dress for her in the diaper bag? Wesley has enough stuff in there! Boy was I foolish. The good news - Jayne lent Max's sweat pants to Angelina, and she wore Wesley's t-shirt (Yeah - WOW - my 5 month old and 3 year old are in the same size - SHOCKER!) - so we didn't have to go home.
I feel like a kid again. You know, when you did something wrong and mom asks, "Did you learn something from this?" "Yes, Mom." The lesson of the story: no mater how old your child is, keep an extra pair of clothes in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

This is so funny!! I did the same thind with Tyler and Chad....I finally learned with Amanda!! I can't believe how "big" Angelina is already! You are doing a great job Rachel! Keep doing as you are!

A lesson we all need to remember, when I'm prepared Matthew doesn't need it and when I'm not he does.
Common sense parenting would be a really good thing but, I forgot where I put it.(ha, ha) Oh, that reminds me I better go fix my diaper bag too or I might be in the same dilemma.
Murphy's Law Rachel! I can have two bags ready and still forget something.
I did that the other day...I forgot to RE-stock the diaperbag with a clean outfit after she had a diaper blow out the day before!
