Yesterday night, Brett wanted me to make poppers - jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and cheddar cheese wrapped in bacon (Thank you Bro. Bob and Mrs. Cindy for introducing us to these delectable treats!). So, we mosey along to the garden with Angelina in tow. I step over the chicken wire to start picking some jalapenos, and I start checking the other plants to see if anything else is ready to pick...
and there it is...
"Brett! You've GOT to come see this!"
Brett steps over the chicken wire while I push the zucchini leaves out of the way.
"What in the world?!" Brett exclaims.
What did we find?...A bird?...A plane?....................................no................
GIANT ZUCCHINI!!!
Zucchini - Cucumbers - Mixed Sweet peppers & jalapenos

The largest zucchini measured 18" and weighs 5.6 lbs. There were 5 of these monsters (one of which I had given to my neighbor) with more on the vine that are semi-giants. My cucumber's were growing through the chicken wire. I plan on making some cucumber lemonade (ewww...I know that's what you're thinking, but don't knock it till you try it! My neighbor Yessica made it for me and it was very refreshing! It wasn't bitter and overloaded with sugar, VERY good!) The zucchini will be shredded and frozen for some zucchini bread this winter - thank you again to Cindy for the BEST BREAD RECIPE EVER!!!

We love our garden. It is so neat to watch God grow things for us. If you gave the neighbor the produce, I'll take the baby. LOL
So I see you are growing zucchini bats this year(LOL). Let me know if you want my chocolate zucchini bread recipe, it's YUMMY!!!
That is a lot of zucchini! I am glad that your garden is doing so well.
I can't believe how big the zucchinis are next to Wesley. What are you watering your garden with????
